Our History

iSee Ohio was founded in 2003 as the Ohio Optometric Foundation by a group of optometrists and industry partners who were determined to improve the vision and eye health of Ohioans. They started by providing educational materials to the general public and awarding scholarships to optometry students who showed a commitment to the profession.

In 2008, iSee Ohio expanded its programming to include direct care to students in schools. Since then, Doctors of Optometry have volunteered for over 120 clinics in schools, providing over 3,400 students with comprehensive eye exams and 2,900 eyeglasses at no cost to the students, families or schools.
