About Our Vision Clinics

Let’s Work Together
iSee Ohio partners with schools throughout the state to provide eye exams to K-12 students who are facing barriers to accessing care after failing a school-based vision screening.

About Our Vision Clinics
iSee Ohio volunteer Doctor(s) of Optometry set up mobile clinics in schools to provide free, comprehensive eye exams to students who are not currently under the care of an eye doctor. A comprehensive eye exam includes testing visual acuity (near and distance vision), refraction (how the light hits the eyes), binocular vision (how well the eyes work together) and overall eye and systemic health. For some students, doctors may need to dilate their eyes to aid in the testing.
Students who are prescribed glasses get to select from a variety of modern frames that are donated by One Sight EssilorLuxottica Foundation. About two weeks after the clinic, an eye doctor or optician will return to the school to deliver the glasses and make sure they fit properly.
If the students lose or break their glasses within a year, iSee Ohio will replace them at no charge.
